Training Matters!
Post Member Shares His Legion College Experience
This past weekend, Post member Joseph Benton proudly attended the California American Legion College in Woodland, California. California Legion College is an intensive training program designed to strengthen local Posts by preparing Legionnaires with essential skills in leadership, operations, membership growth, and community engagement.
Throughout the weekend, Joseph participated in a series of workshops and classes focused on building stronger Posts and expanding the impact of the American Legion in our communities. The training covered a wide range of important topics, including Post administration, finance, leadership development, and American Legion programs and services.
“I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of instruction we received. It was outstanding!” Benton said. “We got to participate in some team exercises that really were very inspiring. Or maybe it was just that we had really great people!”
Joseph’s participation demonstrates a strong commitment to our Post and its future. By completing this training, he brings back valuable knowledge, fresh ideas, and renewed energy that will help us grow and better serve our veterans and community.
Please join us in congratulating Joseph Benton on his successful completion of California American Legion College and thanking him for representing our Post with dedication and pride!
