On November 21st, Post 125 once again sponsored three military units from Vandenberg Space Force Base for their Thanksgiving potluck for members and families. It was estimated that over 100 members from the 2d Range Operations Squadron, 2d Space Launch Squadron, and 30th Operations Support Squadron attended. In addition to helping reserve the facility and provide access to the BBQ pit area, kitchen and ballroom, Post 125 2nd Vice Commander and Adjutant Joseph Benton, along with Jr Past Commander and Judge Advocate Andy Wulfestieg, talked with numerous people about the Legion, our activities, and some of the benefits of membership. They also gathered names of anyone interested in joining so that the Post can conduct a drawing to offer three free annual memberships to the American Legion. It was noted that several individuals who had won memberships the previous year had also recently renewed, signifying just one of the values of this event!
